Our professional volunteer members are expected to be ready to respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Since its inception, NVSAR members have spent thousands of hours honing their skills in all areas of rescue procedures including:

how to Become a member
**The organization accepts new applications between October 8th - December 31st, 2024**
Step 1. Read and meet ALL requirements below.
Step 2. Review timeline and Membership documents below.
Step 3. Attend MANDATORY informational session on the 2nd Tuesday of October OR the 2nd Tuesday of November
Step 4. Submit your application to the organization. NOTE - you will receive the application at one of the informational sessions.
Thank you for your interest in North Valley Rescue Association! We are an all-volunteer search and rescue team.
Volunteers must be physically fit and are expected to provide personal equipment and supplies. SAR missions are urgent and can happen at any time of the day or night. Applicants with dependents and/or demanding employment or school schedules should consider their level of flexibility in their home, work, or school schedule before applying.
Requirements
Be at least 18 years old
Be a citizen of the United States
Be a resident of Flathead County
Have a valid Montana driverโs license
Have a high school diploma or GED
Pass a background check
You're always welcome at our General Meetings on the first Tuesday of the month at 7PM.
We are a little to the west of the Veterans Home - same driveway, but keep right through their parking lot and toward the river. There is a directional sign in their parking lot for us.
